The “Projeto Vertentes do Português Rural do Estado da Bahia” has the objective to characterize the current sociolinguistics reality, identificating the  process of irregular linguistics transmission which was derived from contact between languages in the Brazilian linguistics constitution. This work presents an empirical analysis of the linguistics constraints of the movement verbs variable regency in isolated Afro-Brazilian rural communities, in the state of Bahia. The analysed corpus was constituted for twenty-four interviews made on two communities: Helvécia and Cinzento, observing the variational sociolinguistics methodology. Although the traditional grammar advocated the use of prepositions A and PARA rather than EM with movement verbs (ir, chegar, voltar, etc...), the results of quantitative analysis revealed a variation on the choice of the preposition, with predominance of prepositions PARA and EM. The standard variant, the preposition PARA, is hardly used, being even more frequent the absence of the preposition (ex.: A primêra vez qu’eu fui o médico...). The structural embedding of the variation between PARA and EM revealed that: (i) each verb determines a particular choice; (ii) the preposition PARA is selected when the displacement has [+permanent] trace; (iii) the preposition EM is more frequent when the destination has [-defined] trace.
